How do I book a tour?

Currently, only the Plymouth Walking Tour can be booked instantly online. To book this tour, click on the “Book Now” button located in the sidebar of the respective tour page, and follow the directions from Peek, our booking software.

All of our other tours can be booked by submitting an enquiry form. We will then contact you to discuss booking details.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our tours are non-refundable except in cases of inclement weather or not meeting the minimum number of guests required to run a tour.

Do you offer private tours?

All of our tours can be made private upon request. Simply contact us for more details.

Can I create a custom tour?

Can you help me find a guide?

Yes! Devon & Cornwall Tour Guides can help you find a guide for any type of tour, including shore excursions, walking tours, bus tours or tours requiring a step-on guide. Please see the respective pages to enquire about booking, or contact us on this page.

Are your guides accredited?

Absolutely. We contract only with guides who already possess the necessary accreditations or with guides become accredited through our rigorous training programme.

Is the training course only suitable for trainee tour guides?

Our training programme was designed for training new tour guides, but it is also useful for those looking to become certified for work in the cruise industry. It is also suitable for those who wish to begin leading tours of the Devon and Cornwall area. Please see our Careers & Training page for more information about what the course entails. I don’t have any experience leading tours. Can I still take the training course?

Absolutely. Our course was designed for those who want to become a tour guide. Prior experience is not necessary. To enquire about signing up for the course, please see our Careers & Training page.

What are the requirements for enrolling in the training course?

There is no previous experience necessary — the only thing we require is a positive attitude!

What kind of accreditation does the training course offer?

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded International Certification in Tour Guide Excellence from Aquila’s Centre for Cruise Excellence, which includes a Certificate of Achievement and lapel pin for each guide. You will also receive a certificate from Devon & Cornwall Tour Guides for the tours studied during the course with the aim of ongoing professional development.
